Introducing...

Welcome to our blog! Let us tell you a little about ourselves. Chrissy and I met in 2002 and it was love at first sight. At that time I was working for a Honda dealership in Vancouver and she was working with a mortgage company. A few months after we met she then took a job with the dealership as a finance assistant. We committed ourselves to each other in April of 2003 when we were married in Vancouver, WA. In June of 2003 Chrissy and I were going on separate road trips. She was going to Lincoln City, OR to see her brother and I was on my way to Aberdeen, WA for business. As I was driving I received a phone call from Chrissy with the results to her blood work that she had done earlier that day. Great News! She was pregnant! I was so excited that I missed my exit and almost got into a car accident. Life as we knew it changed. In February of 2004 Chrissy's doctor decided to induce her labor. After 22 hours of continuous labor contractions her doctor discovered something near the baby's head and was unsure if it was her arm or the cord. He determined that for the safety of the baby and for Chrissy that he was going to deliver the baby by C-section. So at 8:35 on February 13, 2004 we delivered our beautiful 7lb, 6oz, 21 inch baby girl, Allysa. It was a good thing that the doctor decided to perform the C-section, since she had the cord wrapped around her neck twice. And then in November 2007 as I was taking Allysa to her pre-school class and I received a picture message from Chrissy on my cell phone. I had an idea of what it was but was unsure since it wasn't very clear. So I called her! Yep it was exactly what I had thought it was. It was a picture of the pregnancy test that she had done that morning. And yes she was pregnant! As she told me the news a deer jumped out behind a rock wall and landed in the middle of the road. I slammed on the brakes and brought the car to a skid as Allysa yelled out of the back seat "Look daddy a deer"! It was a close one. I thought to myself if there is ever another time that we are considering having kids I am staying home until we find out. Since the delivery was to be by C-section we all decided on 7-7-08 and on that day we delivered another beautiful 7lb, 6oz, 21 inch baby girl, Mya. Ironically, she was also delivered with the cord wrapped around her neck twice.

During my time at home with Chrissy, Allysa and baby Mya we discussed the possibility of a career change to allow me to be around the family more. We met with the District Manger with Farmers Insurance and decided that we could achieve the life that we wanted with an insurance agency. While I continued to work with the Honda dealership I obtained my licenses and began learning the advantages that our great company has to offer. Chrissy and I began working to build up our client base to allow me to leave the dealership. On March 16th, 2009 my grandmother passed away due to complications created by Alzhiemers. While we were away attending her funeral reality started to strike. Due to the job that I held at the dealership I had missed out on a lot. I missed a lot of the firsts with Allysa, and a lot of precious time with Chrissy. Family is a precious commodity and you cannot get back the time that is lost. We decided that it was time for me to be around more. On April 1st, 2009 I resigned from the Honda dealership to pursue our lives together with Farmers Insurance. We now have been blessed with the opportunity to be close as a family and experience all of the "firsts" together. Since my change in profession we have also been blessed with stronger relationships with our friends.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about our family! We hope that you now know us a little better.
